Job Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, making suggestions and providing/researching product information to ensure the customer gets exactly what they are looking for. 

Product knowledge is an important part of the job in order to communicate options and information to customers.  Training sessions with management & industry professionals are ongoing & mandatory.  As well, the Sales Associate will have the opportunity to draw on the experience & expertise of long-serving store sales staff. 

  • Individual responsibilities as a Sales Associate include:

    • Maintain visual merchandising 
    • Organize the stock inventory areas
    • Store opening and closing procedures
    • Maintain housekeeping and general store cleanliness
    • Receiving and unloading products in an efficient and timely manner (often heavy items including skis, patio furniture, etc)
    • Implement the store manager’s operation goals for the store
  • Candidate Requirements

    • The successful candidate will be someone who maintains a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting the store's commitment to our customers.
    • Demonstrates outstanding customer service and selling skills
    • The individual must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a business setting, with an ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
    • Sales-driven and goal-oriented attitude
    • Excellent communication skills (English - written, verbal, interpersonal)
    • Retail sales experience preferred 
    • Ski and/or snowboard experience is preferred
    • Basic math & computer skills and the experience using a point-of-sale system is preferred
    • Flexibility to work varying shifts (daytime, evenings, weekends, holidays, as shifts will vary)
    • Ability to unload trucks, carry display racks, walk up and down stairs and step ladders
    • Bondable
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Criminal Record Check
